This is a box that was built to ship bicycles. (108 cm x 80 cm x 30 cm), with four wooden corner supports I flew from America to Asia, declaring that this was sporting goods. The Asian airlines recognized it as sporting goods and it was treated as regular luggage - no extra charges. Whenever possible, try to fly the Asian airlines because they do not charge extra for fork sporting equipment even if it's oversized. However, this box is about the limit that they will accept without charging for oversized luggage. I have disassembled the box and have it wrapped in plastic ready to be picked up.
