This is one of my all time favorite movies! I'm not always a huge fan of Jim Carrey because I sometimes find his movie characters/voices and comedy to be so over that top that it's annoying, but I love him in this movie because it's the perfect blend of physical comedy, sarcasm, and heart. Jim Carey plays Bruce Nolan, a TV reporter frustrated with the fluff stories he gets sent to cover, like the world's largest cookie, and amuses himself by being funny in his comments on air, but is really upset that he's not taken seriously and always bypassed for his co-worker, Evan Baxter (Steve Carrel). His girlfriend Grace (Jennifer Aniston) loves him but is frustrated by his lack of seriousness about the future of their relationship and selfishness but tries to stand by him even when he gets fired for an angry on air outburst, but breaks up with him eventually. He feels like everything is crumbling around him and blames God (Morgan Freeman). After an angry rant at God, he goes to an abandoned building where he meets God. God has filing cabinets of all the things everyone's done wrong (boy, I'd hate to see mine haha) and he gives a few examples of Bruce's failures. Morgan Freeman is perfect as God - he's witty but seeks to teach Bruce a lesson by saying "If you think you can do better than me, go ahead." Comedy ensues as Bruce abuses his power by embarrassing Evan on air and making his sex life better for example. Eventually Bruce gets back to work and covers crazy stories but he finds it means nothing without Grace and that after a few weeks with powers, he feels bombarded with the world's struggles and starts to see that being God isn't easy and that he needed to change so he could be better for himself and others. I love the heart and messages of the movie: being selfish leads to losing things you love, be careful what you wish for, you can't change someone's free will even if you are God, and take a moment to think of the needs/struggles of others and how you can help them instead of yourself. Bruce has a life changing experience that changes him for the better. This movie is the perfect blend of funny and serious and has so many laugh out loud moments and a phenomenal cast - you won't be disappointed! Note: May be shipped for an additional Cost

I suppose this version of Jane Austin's Emma would be considered a classic by now and well it should be. I feel that this movie understands Austin's sense of humor better than any of the others. Gweneth Paltrow and Jeremy Northam fill the bill perfectly. My kids, Yes, even my sons, grew up watching this and loving it. Great movie with great acting and beautiful cinematography. It will take you back to a time when the way people treated each other defined the character of a person. Something our current era could definitely learn from. Until that time, Gabe is convinced that all girls carry "cooties" (though he does not know what they are). The more he is around Rosemary the more enchanted he becomes and he admires her superior karate skills. The story takes place against the backdrop of Manhattan and the two explore parts of the city together. The story is told from Gabe's perspective and encompasses all the agonies of youth trying to decipher deep meanings from every gesture and word. He is on a perpetual see-saw of emotion. She is a mature young girl, likes him and is honest about her feelings. It is light, realistic and very well done. It will probably remind you of some of your own memorable childhood experiences. WOW! This is an amazing video. I was glued to the screen. I'm sure I've read and heard many of these facts before, but not as clearly presented as in this video. It is well acted, historically accurate, and something anyone interested in Lincoln, the civil war period, and the events surrounding Lincoln's assassination will find spell-binding. You have to watch this video. My husband who usually is bored to death with anything even hinting at a documentary or historical base, sat through this glued to the TV. It really is that good. A really great film, although it comprises a truly sad historical moment for our country. I'm impressed that the attorney left the law after this major injustice, and became a journalist. We need more men with such morals and convictions in this day and age. Meanwhile, Robin Wright Penn continues to ignore the constraints of the film industry against aging women, and fearlessly takes on role after role that shows her beautifully, gracefully aging face. She is absolutely fearless. I love her! This is one of the most moving movies I have seen. I do not know if it is accurate to all the events and circumstances however the actors are top notch and the directing of the movie couldn't have been better. A story about injustice and how far men in power will go to achieve the goals they see fit. The truth doesn't matter to such men. This is not a movie for everyone.. but darn .. it is funny and silly and I love Mr Bean. I bought it for the grandkids but then, there I was .. sitting there and laughing, giggling and groaning right along with them as Mr Bean had one escapade after another... fun family movie. One of my grandsons can do a pretty fair imitation of Mr Bean that gets me to laughing all over again. Nice family watch movie...on the silly side.. but thats what makes it funny. I love Mr. Bean, Rowan Atkinson is a comic genius and a high Iq. genius as well... It was well written, well-casted and damn funny...The young kid was wonderful and oh so cute... I don't know why I didn't watch this movie earlier, but I've had a very bad day and this movie was the perfect medicine to brighten my day... I will enjoy watching it a second time, yes it's that good.. Finally! This movie is clean but brilliant and sheer entertainment. You can take your saintly aunt Jemima to this one, and you need not fear to let your children, or grandchildren view it either. It is a G and deserves the rating; there is literally nothing in it that is in any way objectionable. Why can't other films accomplish this? When my wife and I went to see "Mr Bean's Holiday" it was pouring down with rain outside. It was the first day of school too. Maybe that was the reason why there were only six in the movie theater to see this gem? We were three couples, yet for all the small number there was regular, hearty laughter throughout the whole performance. I don't know why some reviewers found it uneven or disappointing. It managed to have a lot of brand new material in it. The on-location European filming gave added interest. We never lost track of the plot or lost interest in the action. We're ordering one for ourselves (the wife and I) and one for the biggest of Bean fans among our grandchildren. By the way every one of more than a dozen grandchildren has been absolutely delighted with Mr Bean and have asked to see the episodes from the TV series again and again, as well as the movie "Bean". This one caps the lot in my opinion. This is such a hoot! Love watching it with family - kids and parents. Mr. Bean’s slapstick humor appeals to everyone, and the dialogue isn’t all that important (for those that are hearing-impaired). Everyone laughs out loud. I love this film! It's photographed beautifully in the South of France. I'm not a big fan of the Mr Bean TV series. Yet, I find this film funny, warm, happy ending, great music...etc... The Blu Ray has a few different scenes than the DVD. I imagine because it's the British release and not the US release that is on the DVD version. Because I Said So is an excellent movie... it features a wonderful cast, is well acted, has fantastic set designs, every component necessary for a quality film can be found here. Even the "fork in the road" style plotline has had a very human quality applied to it, and in such a way that it feels familiar and endearing rather than facetious or forced. Unfortunately this film also features Diane Keaton's acting at its worst. In other movies such as Something's Gotta Give her compulsive behaviors were comparatively mellow, palatable, and her ability as an actress enhanced the final product, however, here her neurotic personality was portrayed in excess and to the detriment of the film. Despite her overacting, I still like watching this movie. The character interactions and twists within the film are more than enjoyable enough to offset Mrs. Keaton's nearly slapstick level of instability, which some viewers may find entertaining even if I didn't. This is the most insightful and well crafted movie about a number of our most pressing problems today, told in a brilliant set of intersecting vignettes. Every American should watch this move over and over and over again until it makes them cry for this country. Then you will know that you got it. That you really understand the truth of the costs that we are paying for not learning from our mistakes and for the greed and corruption that have run this country for years. As the daughter of a man of unquestioning courage and integrity, who fought in 3 wars and received the Distinguished Flying Cross in Korea, it makes me sick to think about what has happened in this country over the last 50 years. 30 years ago I used to do million dollar deals on a handshake and never question whether I would be paid, and by the way I never had to make one collection call. I wouldn't do a deal for $1 today without a signed contract because I find so few people who are trustworthy. I am not stupid, I know there has always been greed, backroom deals and people getting rich off of the people, but when did it become the norm? We used to be a beacon of light to the world of what it means to do the right thing, not the most expedient, not the one that will make us the most money, but to do what was morally right. If this movie moves you at all to stand up and fight for what is right then maybe we have a chance. Outstanding acting, directing, and story line. Regardless of where you stand on the invasions subsequent to 9/11, the film is able to posture the issues without being preachy. Normally, with that star-studded cast, I would expect the movie to fall flat, but it didn't. Despite other reviews, I think the actors were very well cast, none overbearing or over the top. Somehow they were able to balance each other. It's not a light-weight movie and I was surprised when it suddenly ended. But the dialogues so well bring out the issues of the time and the same issues of today. Forget the mediocre reviews. It is very worth watching. And to watch this stand-up, or any other's of his, it's just so hard to believe that a man that can make you laugh until you wet your pants was so depressed...well, it just makes it all the more harder to comprehend.
